Dublin

Sam, Laura and I took a train from Belfast down to Dublin for an overnight stay. What a city! We stayed in an area of Dublin known as Templebar, which is full of shops and amazing nightlife. We stopped at Trinity University and viewed the Book of Kells - an ornate manuscript of the four gospels of the Bible dating back to around 800 AD.















In the evening we stepped into the Palace Pub and ended up staying about 3 hours. Upstairs there was a traditional Irish band sitting at a table in the corner and they were very good.


The next day we met up with some of Sam's friends for lunch and made our way to the Guinness Brewery for a visit. The tour was nice although it did not take us into the working part of the brewery. At the end, we each received a free pint in the Gravity Bar which commands a 360 degree view of Dublin - awesome.


















Dublin is an exciting and vibrant international city and well worth a visit.
